Important: If your letter shows "Re-registration required", you must submit a new registration application at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to remain on the Electoral Register. Failure to re-register may result in your name being removed from the register.
The Chief Electoral Officer is required by law to maintain the Electoral Register.
By law there is a regular review of electors on the Electoral Register. Electors listed with "Re-registration required" did not respond to the last review of registration. The law now requires for that review to be undertaken on a household basis and that is why all electors in the property were listed.

In line with legislation a household notice letter has been issued by the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland to certain electors as part of our work to maintain an accurate and up-to-date Electoral Register.
Check the names listed on the letter and follow the instructions provided.
Step 1: If someone listed on the letter no longer lives at your address then email canvass.removal@eoni.org.uk and provide:
Your name.
the full name as listed on the letter of the person no longer living with you.
the full address as shown on the letter.
You do not need to provide the person’s new address.

Step 2: If someone is listed on the letter with "Re-registration required" beside their name and they still live at this address then that person must submit a new registration application online at: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
If there are eligible people living at your address who are not included on the list, they can register to vote online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Alternatively, you can register other family members / persons in your household. The application must be made with their agreement; you must be able to provide their personal data including their date of birth and their National Insurance Number.
The person marked "Re-registration required" must submit a new registration application online at: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. No action is required for the other electors unless their circumstances have changed.
It means the elector did not respond to a previous review of their electoral registration and is now required to submit a new electoral registration application.
If they do not re-register, their name will be removed from the Electoral Register.
Each elector's registration is individual to them. The requirement to re-register only applies to those who did NOT respond to the previous review of registration process.
Other electors listed remain registered and do not need to take action unless their details have changed.
