Am I Registered helps you check whether you are accurately registered to vote in Northern Ireland. If you are registered, the service will also provide your Digital Registration Number (DRN). If you recently registered, please allow up to 10 days for your registration to be processed before checking.
To match your details to the electoral register, you will need:
-
Full name
-
Date of birth
-
Home address
-
The first four digits of your National Insurance number
-
Email address
-
Mobile phone number (for verification)
Most people complete this check for themselves.
If another person needs support and cannot complete the service on their own, you may help them with their consent.
If you are supporting someone else, you will also need to provide:
-
Your own name
-
Your own mobile phone number
This helps us ensure the service is being used appropriately and safely. The result of the check, including whether they are registered and their DRN, will be sent to the applicant’s mobile phone to protect their privacy.
Not everyone on the electoral register can vote at every election. You can find more details on who can vote at different elections on our What elections can I vote at? page.
