If you are a student you may split your time between two addresses, your home address and your term-time address. If so you can register to vote at both addresses. At local council elections, you can vote in both places if they are in different council areas. At a UK Parliamentary election, NI Assembly election or UK referendum, you can only vote in one place. Voting in more than one place at these elections is a criminal offence.
You can use the service below to check if you are registered to vote.
If you are not on the electoral register, you can register online using the service below.
If you are registering at both your home address and term-time address you must ensure you complete the 'Other Address' section of the application to indicate that you are registering at two addresses. We will contact you to confirm you are a student and are eligible to register at two different addresses.
