About EONI
The Electoral Office for Northern Ireland (EONI) is the organisation which supports the Chief Electoral Officer in carrying out his statutory responsibilities. The EONI consists of a headquarters based in Belfast and seven Area Electoral Offices across Northern Ireland.
The EONI employs 56 permanent staff and also employs a large number of temporary staff during a canvass or election. The administration costs of the EONI are funded by the Northern Ireland Office.
